About Waypoint Development PDF Print E-mail
Waypoint Development, LLC was founded by its principle, Mr. Harry B. Newman. The company was established with the mission of planning, designing and creating the most innovative homes at the most competitive prices. Since Waypoint's inception, the company has developed an extensive portfolio of plans for attached and detatched product lines. Our classic deign style has been popular with hundreds of buyers: a testimony to our belief that smart, comfortable floor plans will be well received by today's most discerning homebuyers.

Harry Newman, President George Jeffries, and other vital team members give Waypoint Development well over a century of combined experience in the building industry. We have designed and developed communities primarily along the eastern seaboard from Florida to North Carolina and Virginia.

We strive to craft the best in quality construction and customer satisfaction. It is our quest to offer professionally planned communities that are built with the highest quality materials and craftmanship at the most competitive prices. We are proud to have affiliations with such esteemed organizations as Tidewater Builder's Association (TBA), 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, as well as Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce. To us there is nothing better than building a quality home for a family to enjoy for a lifetime to come in a community they love.

A Passion For Workforce Housing

Waypoint Development is dedicated to creating beautiful homes in neighborhoods designed for the Workforce community. Our team of talented professionals share a strong commitment to overall plan, design and detail while creating wonderful places to call home for many of the hard working people who afford the general public comfort, convenience and safety. Imagine what would happen in times of national crisis or natural disaster if our paramedics, fireman and policeman were unable to report for duty in a timely manner because of lengthy commutes. The Tidewater community remembers Hurricane Isabelle where many emergency service personnel were stranded in homes far away from work and were unable to respond.

In recent years the high cost of land and the rising cost of oil have made it virtually cost prohibitive for hard working community heroes and heroines to purchase a new home that is an easy commute to their jobs, says George Jeffries, President of Waypoint Development. In the last three years, we have felt a civic responsibility to step up to the plate and champion the Workforce housing movement. We will continue to strive to keep that tradition alive because our team is passionate about providing high quality, innovative homes at a great value. I can’t tell you how rewarding it is for our entire group to be an integral part of making the American Dream of Homeownership a reality.
